Terex spokesman Bazinet to speak at Rotary
Michael Bazinet, director of corporate communications and public affairs for Westport-based Terex Corp., will speak at Westport Sunrise Rotary's weekly meeting 7:30 a.m. Friday at Bobby Q's Restaurant, 42 Main St., Westport. The public is welcome with a $12 fee, which includes a breakfast buffet.
Bazinet will present an overview of Terex Corp., a global manufacturer of equipment for the construction and infrastructure industries. He will discuss where the corporation is today and its expectations for growth.
Prior to joining Terex, Bazinet was director of corporate communications and public affairs at UST Inc. in Greenwich. Previously, he was senior vice president, public affairs, at Webster Financial Corporation in Waterbury. He also worked in external communications roles for Tenneco Inc. and Aetna Life & Casualty.

CTWorks Career Coach at Westport Town Hall
The CTWorks Career Coach will be at Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave., May 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The coach, which has had its software upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007, will offer a "Transition to Office 2007" course to introduce the enhancements in the Microsoft Office 2007 suite of programs from 10 a.m. to noon. A beginner's class in "Microsoft Word 2007" will be held from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Career Coach is a training center bus equipped with 10 wireless computer labs offering free computer classes to residents in the greater Norwalk area. The mobile unit operates on a monthly schedule of visits to various community locations and is accessible to people with disabilities. Doing business with Uncle Sam at Westport Library
Fairfield County Score, U.S. Small Business Administration and the Connecticut Procurement Technical Assistance Program will present a workshop to show established small businesses how to take advantage of opportunities to do business with governmental entities May 18 at 2 p.m. in the McManus Room of the library, 20 Jesup Road.
Topics will include SBA resources and loans and help from Score, a nonprofit association of volunteer experts who provide counseling to small businesses and entrepreneurs, in coordinating relationships between small business and government.

Fairfield resident joins Westport real estate firm
Will Aufderheide has joined Michelle & Company LLC at William Raveis Real Estate in Westport as a buyer specialist.
Aufderheide, who has been in the real estate business since 1987, lives in Fairfield and was raised in Weston and Wilton.
Michelle & Company, which has earned over $900 million in closed sales in 28 years, is ranked in the top half of 1 percent of real estate agents in the nation, according to the firm owned by Michelle Genovesi.
Digital advertiser to hold after-hours gathering
InLineAdz Inc., a Westport-based provider of digital sign advertising, will host a Westport/Weston Chamber of Commerce business after-hours gathering from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 19 at Oscar's Deli, 159 Main St., as the company marks its first year in business.
Attendees will have an opportunity to enter a drawing to win $3,000 worth of ads on all five of the InLineAdz digital advertising screens in Westport.

Temple Israel Westport will hold a free program for college graduates and seniors to help them with their job search June 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Israel, 14 Coleytown Road.
Stan Witkow, a Westport-based career coach, will provide tips on the development of tools and techniques designed to make the job search more effective. Creating and using a resume as a marketing tool will be featured in the program. Networking and how to use social media like Facebook and LinkedIn will be discussed.
