New brewery on tap for Milford
A new brewery is set to open in Milford, pending completion of the permitting process.
Tribus Beer Co. will go before Milford's Planning and Zoning Board in a public hearing on Wednesday night. The owners of Tribus are requesting a special exception to establish a brewery with a pub and patio at 100 Raton Drive, a 15,040 sq. ft. industrial warehouse on 2.28 acres of land off of Plains Road.
A post on Tribus Beer Co.'s Facebook page states the brewery intends to open in early 2018.
According to the Facebook page description, Tribus Beer Co. will be a "functioning brewpub" serving ales and lagers "designed and crafted by certified International Brewers." The taproom will feature a 25-plus seated bar top, TVs, games, hand-finished furniture and stainless steel tanks.
They're also planning for a 1,000 sq. ft. beer garden with seating and corn hole, as well as space for local food trucks to stop by and serve food to customers. Tribus Beer Co. hopes to attract both locals and tourists due to its proximity to I-95.
