The latest magazine title from Hearst Media Services Connecticut, life@home, debuted this month to residents of greater Fairfield County and southern Litchfield County. Life@home will publish six times a year, alternating with Hearst's other Connecticut magazine, HealthyLife.
"Hearst Media Services is excited to add another magazine to its growing regional magazine division," said Janet Reynolds, group executive editor. "After the successful launch of HealthyLife earlier this year, it was clear that heading into the home and shelter area with life@home was the next logical move. Our readers and our advertisers both want it."
With locally-written stories, tips and information, this bimonthly niche publication is geared for those seeking creative ideas to enhance the beauty of their homes. Featured topics will include home furnishing and decor, gardening, the environment, food and recipes, wine and gadgets.
"Like HealthyLife, life@home offers readers local content written by seasoned journalists as well as high-quality photography," Reynolds said. "It is design-driven and offers both readers and advertisers a chance to showcase all that is unique in Fairfield County. Life@home will start as a bimonthly with the next issue coming out at the end of January."
With a strong visual layout that will enhance the reading experience, 42,000 copies of the magazine will be delivered free to homes of the publication's target audience -- upper-income, college-educated women with children in the household.
Hearst Media Services is Fairfield County's leading source for news and advertising. With the Connecticut Post, The News-Times in Danbury, The Advocate of Stamford and Greenwich Time daily newspapers, as well as Brooks Community Newspapers -- including the Westport News and Fairfield Citizen -- and the New Milford Spectum weeklies, with associated websites and magazines, Hearst's publications and online products reach seven out of 10 adults living in Fairfield County each week.
Hearst Media Services is a division of Hearst Newspapers and has offices in Bridgeport, Danbury, Stamford, Greenwich and Fairfield.
