Jansen to discuss how to turn crisis into opportunity

"I Don't Know What I Want To Do, But I Know This Isn't It" is the title of Julie Jansen's talk that she will present at First Thursdays on June 3.

The event, sponsored by Connections Public Relations and Special Events, Collyer Catering and Locals for Locals, will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Westport Country Playhouse.

Jansen, an author, business coach, motivational speaker, trainer and consultant, will show how anyone unhappy with their employment -- or lack thereof -- can implement a real and satisfying career transformation. She is the best-selling author of I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work.

Her clients include GE, March of Dimes, New York Road Runners and LexisNexis. She has been quoted in numerous publications, including Fortune, Forbes and The New York Times, and has been interviewed on the Today Show, ABC World News Now, MSNBC, NPR, CNN Financial News and many other broadcast outlets.

In addition to Jansen's talk, the event will feature raffles that will benefit Westport Country Playhouse and the Westport Animal Shelter Advocates (WASA). A gourmet box lunch will be provided by Collyer Catering LLC.

The cost to attend is $20 in advance and $25 for same-day reservations. Reservations may be made by e-mail: rsvp@collyercatering.com.
