CNBC: Connecticut in bottom half of states for business

Connecticut again trailed its main economic rivals New York and Massachusetts on CNBC’s annual survey of the best states in which to do business, ranking 35th just ahead of New Jersey.

CNBC analyzes states by 64 criteria across 10 categories including economic performance, the cost of doing business and quality of life. Virginia displace Texas to lead this year’s CNBC survey, the fourth time Virginia has done so in 13 years CNBC has published the report, most recently in 2011.
