Brookfield High girls basketball star Brittany Martelle has been nominated to play in the prestigious McDonald's All-American Game, and she will be honored by McDonald's owner Paul Trefz in a ceremony at the McDonald's on Federal Road in Brookfield today at 2:30 p.m. Martelle is one of only 80 players from the New York Metro region to be nominated.

The McDonald's All-American boys and girls games will be played on March 31 at the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The girls game starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPNU. The boys game follows at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

Martelle and the top-seeded Bobcats are set to play ninth-seeded Morgan in the quarterfinals of the Class M state tournament today at 6 p.m. at Middletown High.
