NATIONAL SUMMARY

Tomorrow, low pressure and its associated cold front will

lead to several showers and thunderstorms through the

Southeast and extending westward into the southern Plains. A

few of the storms will produce heavy rain with localized

flooding. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will form over

the higher terrain in the western mountains. In the northern

Plains there will also be a few afternoon thunderstorms.

High pressure centered over the eastern Great Lakes will

provide a nice end to the weekend with plenty of sunshine

and lower humidity. Another storm and associated cold front

will produce a few showers and thunderstorms in eastern

Washington and Oregon into northern Idaho. The rest of the

western United States will be largely dry with plenty of

sunshine.
