The National Weather Service says high tide will be a little higher late Monday morning.

It expects high tide to be about a foot higher than usual.

It issued a coastal flood statement for “vulnerable locations” along western Long Island Sound in southern Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

High tide is 11:09 a.m. in New Haven and 11:17 a.m. in Stamford.

It said any flooding will be minor.

The forecast for the week calls for rain showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A cold front will cause temperatures to drop toward the end of the week with a chance of snow showers on Friday night into Saturday.
