Ryan Gawricki

Team: Staples-Weston-Shelton

Grade: Sophomore

Sport: Hockey

Accomplishment: Forward scored four goals and had an assist in Staples-Weston-Shelton's 6-0 win over Masuk on Dec. 20.

Female

Madeline Schemel

School: Staples

Grade: Sophomore

Sport: Basketball

Accomplishment: Squared up against one of the FCIAC's top forwards, Norwalk senior Emma Oyomba, Schemel scored 16 points in a 61-38 win on Dec. 18.
