The Staples High boys outdoor track team defeated New Canaan 113-37 and Fairfield Warde 131-19 in a regular season meet at Staples on Tuesday.
The Wreckers, now 11-0 on the season, won 14 of the meet's 18 events.
Senior Henry Wynne was victorious in two individual events for Staples, taking the 1,600 in 4:27.7 and the 3,200 in 9:37.8. Sophomore Anthony Bravo also won twice, placing first in the long jump (20-06.50) and triple jump (40-11.50).
Following the 1,600, Staples finished first in the next three events and nine of the next 10. Walker Marsh won the 400 (51.7), Bobby Jacowleff won the 300 hurdles (44.0) and Peter Elkind was victorious in the 800 (2:01.3).
The other individual wins from the Wreckers came in the 100 from Dan Ciotoli (11.2), Ethan Bradeen in the high jump (6-0), Matt Mula in the pole vault (14-6), Tyler Teske in the discus (123-10) and Tucker Rizzi in the javelin (159-10.5).
The Wreckers also won a pair of relays: the 4x100 in 45.1 and the 4x400 in 3:37.7.
Staples' next competition will be the FCIAC championships at Danbury High School, to be held May 21.
