Ridgefield's James Osborn was first to cross the finish line in the final Road Runners Series race of 2014, winning the 10-mile run that finished at Staples High School last Saturday. Osborn (57:34) edged Adam Mulia (57:58), of Brooklyn, N.Y. by 24 seconds. With the win, Osborn clinched the overall Road Runners Series title.
Kerry Lyons, of Wilton, was the first woman to cross the line. Lyons placed 12th overall (1:04:38), missing out on the course record by six seconds.
Pat Dennen, of Middlebury, was two minutes off the pace and finished in third place (59:26). Leigh Sorrells, of Danbury, placed fourth (1:00:46). A pair of Westport residents, Tom Harding (1:03:27) and Luke McCambley (1:03:43), placed seventh and eighth respectively. McCambley placed second overall to Osborn for the summer (67 points to 47).
Wilton's Mary Zengo won the women's overall title by finishing 14th overall (1:05:03). Zengo edged Darien's Eliza Tabacchi, 62 points to 60.
