Girls lacrosse: Greens Farms Academy is looking to capitalize on its 17-3 season from a year ago. Seniors Meighan Grady, Madison Leonard, Phebe Wong, Kate Mohr and Leah Jennings are expected to add defensive strength and provide leadership in the midfield. Tia Carson, Kaitlin Ball and Charlotte Forfang are the team's returning juniors, while newcomer Jenny Ball is expected to add depth to the roster. The team's sophomores are Campbell Goldsmith, Charlotte Kreitler and Nicole Litt. The Dragons also have a promising freshman class with Ellie Wong and Ingrid Backe. Lucy Webb will likely see playing time in goal.

Boys lacrosse: The Dragons are poised to make a run at the Fairchester Athletic Association Tournament. The team will be led by senior captains Ryan Eckert and Justin Arzi. The duo will be complemented on attack by sophomore Julian Cohen and freshman Jack Mackle. Returning in the midfield are senior JT Becker, juniors Brendan Bieder, Conor Eckert, Ryan Schendel and sophomore Dugald Shannon. The defense will be anchored by senior Seth Krantzler and juniors Sam Hodge and Parker Whitmore. Sophomore Riley Grady returns between the pipes.

Girls tennis: The Dragons are looking to repeat their dominance in both the FAA and New England playoffs this season. Last year's squad placed second in the FAA with a narrow loss to Greenwich Academy and was a finalist in the New England Tournament. Those finishes came on the heels of an undefeated 2011 season. The Dragons return a strong core that includes seniors Olivia Kjorlien, Caitlin Rummelsburg, Kyja Kutnick and Jessica Liu, juniors Frankie Garofalo and Emily Cahill, and sophomore Avery Wolfe.

Boys tennis: The Dragons are looking to make an impact in the postseason this year, returning six players from a 7-3 campaign. The team has depth at the singles spots with junior Kyle Wolfe back after playing No. 1 last year. Wolfe won the singles title at the FAA Tournament in 2012. Freshman Cole Rummelsburg is coming off a strong season in singles, while newcomers Gabe Tishman, a sophomore, and Brian Niguidula, an eighth grader, are expected to contribute. The team will also rely heavily on its other returnees, senior Clay Garner and sophomores Scott Brown, Reilly Carter and Dan Ross. Senior Matt Fisher and sophomores Firouz Saghri, Kourosh Saghri and Nick Puljic are newcomers.

Softball: The Dragons return seniors Brooke Cirillo, Miranda Princi (co-captains), Jacqui Young, Sarah Young, Avery Swett, Jasmin Reyes and Sydney Huffman. Juniors Caroline Kruk and Alyssa Matte are expected to solidify the team's defense, while freshmen Remi Bohbot and Kate Koster will bring power to the lineup.

Baseball: The Dragons are starting the season with 27 players -- the most since coach Todd Mathewson arrived at GFA. With a strong group of returnees and a collection of new faces, the Dragons are hoping to return to the postseason. The team will be led by seniors Brian Dexheimer, Jonah Singer, Scottie Deutsch and Brandon Velez. Dexheimer and Singer will anchor the infield and pitching staffs, while Velez will provide pitching depth.

The Dragons also have depth with juniors Drew Martin (catcher/outfielder), Jeremy Platt (pitcher/outfielder) and Chris Kondracki (infielder). The team's sophomore class features brothers Harry (first baseman) and Alex Berman (outfielder). Jake Berman (pitcher/outfielder) is also on the roster. Freshmen include Connor Bamford (catcher/infielder), Jules Becker (pitcher/infielder) and Paul Bozzella (pitcher/infielder).

Golf: The Dragons will look to take advantage of the experience gained by four starters last season. Returning juniors Mark Whittaker and Jack Wood, along with sophomores Ian Bell and Kevin Wong, are expected to lead the way for the rest of the young squad. Freshmen Samyukt Kumar and Lauren Telesz will challenge for a spot in the lineup with Dustin Cook, an eighth grader.

Sailing: This year's team has good balance and depth with strong returnees. Back are senior Liz McDermott, juniors Charlotte Frank, Andrew McCarthy, Allie Nixon, Isabelle Swearingen and Olivia Taylor, and sophomore Hayes Marcus. The newcomers are Caroline Booth, Marguerite Courtemanche, Josh Gleason and Eliza Nixon.
