Seven athletes from World Champion Taekwondo competed in the USAT National Championships recently in Chicago.

The National Championships, held from July 3-8, is one of the largest Taekwondo competitions in the country, with more than 4,100 athletes competing in sparring, poomsae (forms), board breaking and weapons divisions.

Westport World Champion Taekwondo brought home eight medals, including two gold medals.

Arun Soni and Emily Rose Weiss both won gold in board breaking, while Weiss also won a silver medal in team poomsae.

Julia Weiss won a silver medal in poomsae and a bronze in board breaking. Samantha Atlas (board breaking), Neal Soni (board breaking) and Viktor Frennstedt (board breaking) were also awarded bronze medals. Elliot Frennstedt was fifth in board breaking.
