RE/MAX files for IPO
RE/MAX, franchisor of real estate brokerage services with offices in Fairfield County, has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The timing, number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering, have not been determined. RE/MAX intends to apply to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange.
Keller Williams releases mobile search app
Keller Williams Realty, a national real estate franchise company with offices in Fairfield County, has released a mobile application customized for each of its 88,000 associates. Agents receive a unique URL and text code to share with consumers. When consumers use the app, they can search and compare properties and connect directly with their agent of choice about the listings they want to see. The app, provided at no cost to real estate agents or consumers, is available for Apple and Android platforms.

Coldwell Banker sets YouTube contest
Coldwell Banker Real Estate, with offices in Fairfield County, launched its first "Life, Camera, Action" YouTube contest, which highlights the value of a home through the eyes of children and/or their pets. Running through Sept. 22, the contest invites viewers to submit a user-generated video that features a two- to three-minute tour of a home for the chance to win a $25,000 grand prize.
