BLT starts leasing 111 Harbor Point
Stamford-based Building and Land Technology, developer of Harbor Point, an 80-acre mixed-use project in the south of Stamford, has begun leasing at its newest residential property, 111 Harbor Point. The 15-story, 228-unit building offers water views, a rooftop pool and barbeque pavilion and is within walking distance of the Stamford Transportation Center, Harlan Social, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Fairway Market. Each unit comes with stainless steel appliances, full-sized washer and dryer and granite countertops. The building also features a Cybex sports gym with cardio theater, a game room and resident clubroom.

County agents achieve national rankings
Elayne Jassey of the Stamford office of Prudential Connecticut Realtors, and Ann Simpson, Barbara Wells and Julianne Ward of Prudential's Greenwich office, were four of the 11 Prudential Connecticut real estate agents who were ranked by RealTrends Best Real Estate Agents in America 2013, in conjunction with the Wall Street Journal. Ward ranked number one for volume, Jassey ranked number six for volume and number 13 for transactions, Simpson ranked number 16 for volume and Wells ranked 18 for volume. Ward and Jassey were recognized on the RealTrends "The Thousand" list ranking nationally. Ward ranked 104 for top individual sales with $78.9 million in sales for closed transactions in 2012.
Connecticut HFA offers `preferred' mortgages
In response to the changing mortgage market, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority in Rocky Hill is offering "HFA Preferred" mortgages for first-time homebuyers in Connecticut. HFA Preferred mortgages have lower private mortgage insurance premiums, saving borrowers money, and offer the same below-market interest rate as the traditional CHFA mortgage. CHFA's current mortgage interest rate is 3.25 percent for a 30-year mortgage. More information on CHFA's Preferred mortgage can be found on the CHFA website, www.chfa.org.
Conyers Farm site to be auctioned
