MILFORD -- A Niantic man will be arraigned later today after his arrest on a warrant Sunday in connection with an October burglary in which guns were taken.

Geovanie Oritz, 22, of Peggy Lane in Niantic was charged with third-degree burglary and two counts of theft of a firearm, police said. He was also charged with fourth-degree larceny.

Besides the guns, jewelry and a camera were taken from the Thompson Street residence on Oct. 29, said Officer Jeff Nielsen.

Ortiz was held overnight on a $5,000 bond.
