Hydrochloric acid spilled from a truck during a traffic mishap near Interstate 45 in south Houston late Wednesday morning.

The incident happened about 10:30 a.m. on FM 2351 near the Gulf Freeway, according to Houston Transtar.

Westbound and eastbound FM 2351 were temporarily closed while crews clean up the spill. The westbound lanes opened about 30 minutes later.

No information was available about possible injuries or what caused the leak.
