Houston police have arrested two suspects and are seeking a third, all charged with capital murder in last month's fatal shooting of a customer and the wounding of an employee at a Denny's restaurant.
Corey Hilton, 20, and Mario Hilton, 18, of Houston, are in the Harris County Jail being held without bond.
They were arrested Friday in the robbery and shooting that happened at about 10:40 p.m. Aug. 26 at Denny's, 7300 Washington Ave.
A third man, Kenya D. Jackson, 20, is also charged with capital murder in the incident and remained at large Saturday morning.
Investigators did not release photos of the Hiltons, who are scheduled to appear Sept. 9 in the 182nd State District Court. Their relationship was not described in a news release Saturday from the Houston Police Department.
The customer who was killed during the chaotic incident was Robert G. Placette, 64, of Katy.
The wounded employee, 43, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
According to the news release, Corey and Mario Hilton and Jackson, all wearing bandanas and masks, entered the restaurant and immediately fired several shots.
They ordered all customers and employees to the floor and demanded their property, the release said.
After the robbery and shootings, the men left in an unknown minivan.
Placette was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital and the other victim was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.
Further information led to the identification of the Hiltons and Jackson as suspects.
A fourth suspect, the driver of the minivan, also remains at large.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kenya Jackson or on the identity of the fourth suspect is asked to contact HPD's Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
