Work crews were busy trying to repair a large sinkhole along the 610 Loop in southeast Houston early Tuesday morning.

The hole opened up Monday afternoon near the South Loop service road and Almeda, officials said.

It now appears to be about 12 feet wide and about 15 feet deep. The sinkhole opened after a sewer line broke, officials said.
