Call it a Flood Day.

The Sealy Independent School District announced on its website Sunday that intermediate and junior high students would not have classes Monday "due to flood damage."

Selman Elementary and Sealy High School students still must attend regular classes Monday.

The web site statement said normal classes would resume on all campuses Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch until 10 p.m. for the Houston-Galveston area, reporting as much as 8 inches of rain fell yesterday and another 2 to 4 inches are expected for parts of the region today.
