A Sugar Land taxi driver on Wednesday was found dead outside a Humble restaurant after he had been missing for several days, officials said.
Juan Gonzalez, 59, had been reported missing after he failed to show up for a pick up at 11 a.m. Monday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. His wife told police that Gonzalez, who has medical problems, left their house at 4 a.m. Monday in a limousine taxi to pick up a customer at Bush Intercontinental Airport. He never arrived, she told police.
Police initially were unable to locate the taxi he was driving. When he was found, Gonzalez was sitting in his vehicle in the Humble restaurant's parking lot. There were no signs of foul play.
The Humble Police Department will investigate his death.
