A man died in a house fire Sunday near the North Loop and North Main Street.
The Houston Fire Department arrived at the home four minutes after a 12:20 p.m. call and were told a man could be inside the heavy blaze, according to a press release.
An unidentified man was rescued from the building. EMS crews treated and transported him to the hospital where he died.
The home did not have any utilities connected and HFD arson investigators are still seeking for a cause. It is not yet clear if the victim lived in the home or if others were away when the fire started.
