Workers at a cellular store have a lot to clean up after thieves rammed a stolen pickup through the front door early Monday morning in southwest Houston.

The smash-and-grab robbery happened about 3:25 a.m. at the Com Max Cellular store at 12148 Fondren near West Airport, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said three men smashed a black 1990 F350 Ford pickup through the glass front doors and windows. They snatched cell phones and drove away.

Investigators spotted the truck a short time later abandoned at a nearby apartment complex at 12261 Fondren. It had been reported stolen.

The store was closed at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

No description of the thieves was available.
