Police are searching for man they say robbed a sandwich shop at gunpoint last weekend in Sugar Land.

The robbery happened about 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the Subway restaurant at 3557 Texas 6, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.

Police said the man walked into the shop, brandished a gun and demanded money from the cash register. After he was given a small amount of cash, the man forced the two employees to get into the freezer. He told them to stay inside the freezer for 15 minutes.

When the workers got out of the freezer they called 911.

The suspect was described as being about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He wore a black baseball cap, eyeglasses and black pants. One of his front teeth was missing.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Sugar Land Police Department at 281 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281 342-TIPS.
