Two security workers at the Harris County criminal courthouse have been accused of theft as they worked to screen people entering the building.

A third security worker at the facility has been accused in a case concerning $1,000 that went missing.

Sharmichael Easter is charged with theft by a public servant while Priscilla Ana Lewis is charged with theft, said Alan Rosen, Harris County Precinct 1 Constable.

Rosen said Mary Armstrong is charged with tampering with a government document.

The three cases are unrelated to each other. However, Rosen said the women had been working at the security line in the building lobby as people walk through metal detectors and their belongs are passed through scanners.

Rosen said Easter allegedly took a flat-iron, a type of hair-styling implement, in February.

Lewis, Rosen added, allegedly stole an iPad in January.

In August, Armstrong allegedly altered a log that workers must complete when people place cash in the security scanners, Rosen said.

The workers were employed by Weiser Security Services, which provides security for the building.

Officials with Weiser did not respond to an email seeking comment.
