Managers at the Houston IKEA store evacuated customers and staff after receiving a bomb threat Sunday afternoon.

Houston Police Department spokesperson Jodi Silva said police were called about noon to a retail center at 7810 Katy Freeway.

Alongside some IKEA staff, she said officers searched the store, but found no threat. The store was reopened.

"Anytime a bomb threat is made, we treat them seriously," Silva said.
