1 dead, 2 wounded at large house party in northwest Harris County

A 22-year-old man died and two teenagers were wounded by gunshots at a party in northwest Harris County Saturday night, officials said.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to Champion Townhomes on the Green at the 11200 block of Veterans Memorial around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said there was a large party with more than 100 guests outside one of the buildings. Multiple gunshots were fired in the middle of the people attending the party and three people were wounded.

Those injured were transported to Willbowbrook Methodist Hospital. Stanley Ford, 22, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Telvin Gilbert, 18, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and another 16-year-old man, who was not identified, suffered a gunshot wound to the foot.

The shooter was not identified by officials.
