A photo of a smiling, recovering George H.W. Bush is making the rounds in social media.

The 88-year-old former president, who was recently released from Methodist Hospital after a seven-week stay, was spotted at a Galleria-area restaurant on Saturday night, according to the The Hill and CultureMap Houston.

CultureMap says Bush enjoyed dinner with family at Gigi's Asian Bistro & Dumpling Bar in the Galleria area. A photo on Instagram shows the 41st president hanging out with well-wishers. CultureMap identified the two men in the photo as Mark Sullivan and Jason Reeves.

The restaurant is a Bush favorite. It provided Christmas dinner for the family as relatives visited Bush in the hospital.

According to CultureMap, Janet Shamlian, a Texas-based NBC News reporter, posted the photo, and it was picked up all over the world, including in the Daily Mail in London and The Huffington Post.

Bush was hospitalized for weeks after suffering a persistent cough and fever.
