A Dr. Lucy J. Puryear, medical director of the Women's Place Center for Reproductive Psychiatry at Texas Children's Pavilion for Women, was the speaker at a luncheon benefiting Mental Health America of Greater Houston's Women's Health Initiative. Luncheon chair Mary Parnham brought in Puryear for the Roses and Ribbons luncheon to raise money and raise awareness of women's mental health issues.

A Mindy Greenfield got serious support from Methodist Hospital as presenting sponsor for the 15th anniversary gala to support the Eye Care for Kids organization that provides free vision care and eyeglasses to children.

A The annual Signature Chefs Gala kickoff party brought March of Dimes supporters to Del Frisco's Grille, where gala chairs Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia and Susan and Michael Plank thanked presenting sponsor Wells Fargo. To be honored at the fall event: Rosemary Schatzman and Vanessa Sendukas

A Co-chairs Ellie and Michael Francisco and Donna and Robert Bruni used their third annual New Summer Standard dinner-dance to benefit CancerForward. CancerForward was founded by cancer survivor Beth Sanders Moore as a virtual platform (www.cancerforward.org) for the exchange of educational information, resources and personal experiences.

A Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady on TV's "The Brady Bunch," talked about mental illness, treatment and recovery at the Menninger Clinic's annual fund-raising luncheon.

The luncheon was co-chaired by Beth Robertson and Bess and Rob Wilson III and honored Barbara and Corby Robertson Jr.
