Westport schools now closed through Friday

4:20 pm, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 -- Westport's public schools will remain closed for the remainder of the week because continuing power outages and storm cleanup in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Announcement of the extended closure was made Wednesday by Superintendent of Schools Elliott Landon on the town's website.
