Danielle Ogden, director of education at the Westport Arts Center, will talk about the center's therapeutic arts programs during the Oct. 17 meeting of the Y's Men of Westport/Weston at the Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plain Road.
The center's program serves the elderly, hospital patients, veterans and children and adults with developmental disabilities, the Y's Men said in a news release.
The two-year-old program has partnerships with Yale-New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital and the American Art Therapy Association. This fall, the program plans to provide services to Homes for the Brave, a Bridgeport-based organization that provides homeless veterans with help, the Y's Men said.
