A construction worker was injured when he fell off scaffolding while working on a swimming pool at a Bonnie Brook Road property Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters report they were alerted to the accident about 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

Arriving at the scene, firefighters said they found the worker fell from scaffolding over the pool as he used a "shotcrete hose" to build up the sides of the swimming pool with a cement mix.

The worker, who appeared to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was stabilized by fire, police and emergency medical personnel dispatched to the scene. He was then transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.

The incident was reported to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which sent a representative to the scene to investigate.
