Woman faces DUI, interfering charges for August crash

Brie Bussiere, 22, of Norwalk, was charged on a warrant Sunday with drunken driving, interfering with an officer and a series of other charges in connection an August motor vehicle accident.
Police said that while officers were investigating the single-vehicle accident on Saugatuck Avenue, they noticed the strong odor of alcohol on her Bussiere's breath. She also became combative with officers at the scene, according to the report.
Bussiere was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, interfering with an officer, assault on public safety/emergency personnel, failure to drive to the right and traveling unreasonably fast.
She posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 26 in Norwalk Superior Court.
