A car that had only one functioning headlight and was dragging a bumper near Interstate 95's Exit 17 last week was stopped by police, resulting in a charge of driving under the influence against the driver.
After the vehicle was stopped about 11 p.m. Thursday, police said they detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver, Michelle Davila, 38, of Fairfield.
Davila, according to the report, failed roadside sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or dugs, and also with operating a vehicle with her license under suspension.
Bond was set at $1,500 and Davila is scheduled to appear June 30 in Norwalk Superior Court.
