A New Haven woman has been charged with larceny stemming from an incident last year at a local shoe store.

Lacie Bland, 34, of Franklin Street, New Haven, was charged Friday with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree forgery in the incident last July.

Police said Bland purchased merchandise with a check written from a closed account, and altered the account number.

Bland was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear March 3 in Norwalk Superior Court.
