A Bridgeport woman has been charged with stealing jewelry at a local home last summer and later pawning the stolen possessions.
Raisa Santos, 22, of Ogden Street in Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree larceny and first-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.
Officers served an arrest warrant on Santos at Superior Court in Bridgeport last week. The arrest follows an investigation into a burglary in July at a Riverfield Drive residence, according to a police report.
Police investigated the report of a burglary and larceny at the home July 7 when a "large amount of jewelry" was taken, the report said.
The investigation by the detective bureau identified Santos as the seller of jewelry stolen in the burglary to a pawn shop.
Santos was unable to post a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear April 17 at Superior Court in Norwalk.
