A Hill Street resident is facing drug charges following a motor vehicle stop Sunday.

Karen Davidson, 57, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During a motor vehicle stop around 6 p.m. Sunday, the officer became suspicious when the occupants were questioned about whether narcotics were in the car, according to a police report.

A police dog from the Norwalk Police Department was called to the scene and subsequently indicated the presence of narcotics odor in the vehicle, the report said.

A search revealed that the passenger, Davidson, was in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Davidson was released on a promise to appear Aug. 26 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
