A Sandy Hook resident has been charged with harassing her former lawyer here.

Katherine Sullivan, 50, was arrested after Westport officers went to the Newtown Police Department around 12:48 a.m. Saturday where they took custody of Sullivan on an outstanding warrant.

Sullivan's arrest stems from alleged harassment of a local lawyer who once represented her, police said, adding that during the course of investigating a complaint, she was warned by a Westport police officer not to have further contact with that lawyer.

Sullivan continued to contact the lawyer, police said, resulting in her arrest.

Sullivan is scheduled to appear April 20 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
