A Norwalk woman is charged with breaking into her former boyfriend’s West End Avenue home and, during a confrontation, assaulting him as he tried to get her to leave.

The Tuesday night incident, according to police, unfolded when Natalia Ocampo, 32, of Chapel Street in Norwalk, broke the front-door window to gain entry and rushed into the man’s bedroom.

As the man tried to get Ocampo to leave, police said she struck him in the back of the head with an unspecified object.

Ocampo left the scene before officers arrived, but was located a short time later at a Saugatuck gas station. She had injuries to her hands and feet, which police said she incurred breaking into the man’s house. She was taken into custody and brought to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of the injuries.

She was charged with third-degree assault, burglary and violation of a protective order that has earlier been issued against her.

Bond was set at $10,000 and she was scheduled to have appeared in court last week.
