A Westport woman has been charged with assaulting her boyfriend during a June 30 domestic dispute.

Police were dispatched to a West End Avenue residence to investigate the report of an altercation between a woman and man.

Based on their investigation, police said Natalia Ocampo, 31, broke the television and assaulted her boyfriend. She also violated a protective order that had been issued against her, according to the report.

Ocampo turned herself in at police headquarters last Thursday after learning a warrant for her arrest had been issued. She was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and criminal violation of a protective order.

Bond was set at $1,000 and she was scheduled to appear the next day at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
