Angered after another motorist bumped his car while opening a door Tuesday afternoon, David Gottchalk, 50, of Clinton Avenue, allegedly "keyed" the other driver's car, according to police.
Gottchalk left the parking lot at 600 Post Road East after the vandalism incident, police said, but was tracked down through his license plate number.
He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.
He was released on a promise to appear Feb. 11 in Norwalk Superior Court.
