Sandra Gibson, 41, of Bayberry Lane, was charged with driving under the influence early last Friday.

Police said an officer on patrol on Bridge Street saw Gibson's vehicle stopped at a green traffic light about 1:30 a.m. She did not resume driving again until the light cycled again to green, police said. The officer stopped Gibson after her vehicle reportedly crossed a double-yellow traffic line. When speaking to Gibson, the officer reportedly smelled alcohol. She failed a field sobriety test, police said.

Gibson was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive in the proper lane and failure to obey a control signal. She was released on $500 bond, and is scheduled to appear July 28 in Norwalk Superior Court.
