Things will be warming up to summer-like levels in southwestern Connecticut over the next several days.

The National Weather Service says that temperatures will be in the upper-80s and low-90s through early next week.

Today will be sunny with a daytime high temperature about 87 degrees, with a west wind between 6 and 10 mph.

There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight as skies turn partly cloudy and the temperature dips to about 70 degrees. There will be a southwest wind between 3 and 7 mph.

Tomorrow, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon, the NWS says. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-90s. Tomorrow night's skies will be mostly clear with a low temperature about 70 degrees.

Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the low-90s. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 70 degrees.

The outlook for Sunday, the weather service says, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the upper-80s.
