Today will be sunny and warm, according to the National Weather Service, a pattern that will hold ... at least through half of the coming weekend.

Skies across southwestern Connecticut today will be clear, the NWS says, with a daytime high temperature in the low-80s and a slight northwest wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Tonight will be clear and the temperature will dip to a low around 64 degrees.

Tomorrow will be a mirror image of today, the NWS predicts: Sunny, with a high near 82 degrees.

But after 11 p.m. tomorrow, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Clouds move in and the temperature dips to about 68 degrees.

By Sunday, the odds of precipitation grow, the NWS says, particularly after 1 p.m. Thunderstorms are also possible, as skies remain cloudy most of the day and the high temperature will be about 78 degrees. The unsettled weather pattern continues Sunday night.

Showers are likely Monday as well, the weather service predicts, along with possible thunderstorms. The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 76 degrees.
