For the first time in days, the forecast for southwestern Connecticut has no warning about possible showers or thunderstorms -- just clear skies and warm temperatures.

Under today's sunny skies, the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the low-80s, with a north wind between 6 and 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature cooler than recent nights in the mid-50s range.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. But rain is likely overnight, with some areas of fog after 9 p.m. as clouds move in and temperatures dip to the low-60s, the NWS says.

On Saturday, rain is expected, probably before noon. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-50s.

The outlook for Sunday, the weather service predicts, is mostly sunny and temperatures rising to the low-70s.
