Sunny skies continue over the region today, but the National Weather Service predicts there will be a rainy end to the week.

The daytime high today in southwestern Connecticut should be about 42 degrees, with a northwest wind between 10 and 17 mph.

The dry and breezy conditions, the NWS warns, continue to pose a brush fire threat acrosss the area.

Tonight should be clear, with a low around 30 degrees.

Tomorrow should also be sunny, with a high near 46. The nighttime low will be about 34 degrees.

There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday, the NWS predicts, under mostly cloudy skies. The high temperature should be near 46 degrees with an east wind around 10 mph. There is a chance of more rain Thursday night, which could change to a mix of rain and snow.

Rain is also likely on Friday, with a daytime high temperature near 45 degrees, the weather service predicts.
