Westport weather: Slowly warming up to spring

Although there could isolated midday showers today, the National Weather Service predicts skies will be mostly sunny and even a little bit warmer.

The showers could fallen in limited areas of southwestern Connecticut between noon and 3 p.m., the NWS says, as the temperature rises to a high of about 50 degrees with a northwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees and a northwest wind around 9 mph.

Tomorrow there is a slight chance of snow showers before 9 a.m., according to the NWS, followed by a minor chance of rain showers until 3 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 50 degrees and a north wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Nighttime tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.

On Friday, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

Saturday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 50s.
