There is a chance of showers today in southwestern Connecticut, a probability that the National Weather Service rates at about 40 percent.

In any case, skies will be mostly cloudy, with the temperature rising to a high of about 65 degrees. There will be a south wind between 9 and 17 mph.

Tonight, showers -- and perhaps thunderstorms -- are likely, as the temperature dips to the high-50s. There will be a south wind between 11 and 14 mph.

Tomorrow, showers are likely to continue as the daytime high temperature rises to a high of about 70 degrees. There remains a possibility of unsettled weather tomorrow night, as skies remain cloudy and the temperature registers a low in the low-50s, the NWS says.

On Thursday, there is a slight chance of showers before 11 a.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a temperature in the upper-60s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-40s.

The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny conditions with the temperature rising to the upper-60s.
