Rain -- and possible thunderstorms -- are in today's forecast for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The likelihood of these unsettled conditions is 90 percent, the NWS says.

Skies will be cloudy and the temperature will reach a daytime high in the upper-60s, with a south wind between 7 and 14 mph.

Tonight, rain and storms are possible, with patchy fog moving in later. The temperature will dip to the upper-50s and there will be a south wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Tomorrow, there is still a chance of showers as skies remain mostly cloudy and the temperature rises to a high in the low-70s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-50s, the NWS says.

Thursday should be sunny, with a high temperature of about 70 degrees. Thursday night will be clear, with the temperature falling to a low around 50 degrees.

The outlook for Friday, the weather service says, is for sunny skies and a high temperature in the low-70s.
