The sunny, warm weather that made it a pleasant weekend in southwestern Connecticut continues this first day of the work week.
After a chilly start in the 50s, today's daytime high temperature will be in the low-70s, under clear skies, with a variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight, however, some clouds are expected to move in as the temperature dips to about 60 degrees, with a southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, with a daytime high temperature about 80 degrees. Night skies will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 70 degrees.
On Wednesday, a there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., the NWS says. Otherwise, skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-80s. Night brings a continued 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms as the temperature dips to a low around 70 degrees.
There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high temperature about 80 degrees. Odds of precipitation decline Thursday night to 40 percent, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
